The Holy Grail of Argento films is coming to a Region 1 DVD on February 24, 2009. FOUR FLIES ON GREY VELVET, Argento's 1971 film about blackmail, murder, and insanity, was released theatrically by Paramount Pictures and has languished in home video obscurity for nearly forty years. The film has seen the light of day on the bootleg circuit (I reviewed that German letterboxed DVD here), but now will be available in a completely uncut and letterboxed 2.35:1 transfer (from the original negative, thankfully) thanks to MYA Communication.
The cover art can be seen to the left. If you're an Argento fan, this DVD purchase is not a matter of discussion.
