FREDDY READY FOR DOCUMENTARY

Horror Express has learned that some of the people responsible for HALLOWEEN: 25 YEARS OF TERROR and the upcoming THE PSYCHO LEGACY and HIS NAME WAS JASON documentaries are currently in discussions to lend their talents to a documentary on the Fred Krueger legacy, scheduled for a release in 2010 to coincide with the remake of Wes Craven’s original 1984 classic. Thommy Hutson and his fellow writer/producer Anthony Masi are currently in preliminary talks with New Line Cinema to produce a documentary that he promises will reveal new bits of information to the public concerning Freddy that that they previously didn’t know about. HIS NAME WAS JASON is being produced and released by Anchor Bay, and the talks with Anchor Bay also include this documentary about the ELM STREET films. 2010 will no doubt see a Blu-Ray version of the Elm Street saga to complement the release of the remake (considering the umpteen DVD releases of the EVIL DEAD films).

Although these filmmakers are becoming known in the industry as the go-to guys for documentaries on horror films, they also have an original project, PRANKS, in the works, and we’ll bring you more information about it as it becomes available.
