NEW DARIO ARGENTO DVDS COMING FROM ANCHOR BAY ENTERTAINMENT

Fangoria.com reports that Anchor Bay Entertainment will be rereleasing several of Dario Argento’s films on DVD come May 27, 2008. Among them are TENEBRE and PHENOMENA which will both sport new 16x9-enhanced widescreen transfers (1.85:1 and 1.66:1 respectively) with Dolby 5.1 Surround soundtracks (let’s hope they sound better than the previous releases). The discs will contain all of the previous special features, but will have new featurettes as reflected below:

TENEBRE ($19.97):
• Audio commentary by Argento, composer Claudio Simonetti and journalist Loris Curci
• New Voices of the Unsane retrospective featurette
• The Roving Camera Eye of Dario Argento featurette
• Creating Sounds of Terror featurette
• Alternate end credit music
• Argento bio
• Trailer

PHENOMENA ($19.97):
• Audio commentary by Argento, FX creator Sergio Stivaletti, Simonetti and Curci
• New A Dark Fairy Tale retrospective featurette
• Luigi Cozzi & The Art of Macrophotography featurette
• Argento on THE JOE FRANKLIN SHOW
• Simonetti “Jennifer” music video
• Bill Wyman “Valley” music video
• Argento bio
• Trailer

Anchor Bay will also issue an Argento box set on May 27th, presumably to coincide with the release of THE MOTHER OF TEARS. TENEBRE, PHENOMENA, TRAUMA, THE CARD PLAYER and DO YOU LIKE HITCHCOCK? will all be part of the box set which will retail for $49.97. Amazon should have it for $34.97 as a pre-order, averaging $7.00 per movie which is not a bad deal!

Remember all the money we spent on these films on laserdisc? Ugh!

Revisited films you once loved but now seem to suck (Leatherhead)
There ar a few titles like this for me, but the one that comes to mind right now is Howling IV. This was the first of the Howling movies I ever saw, and I
have to say, I thouroughly enjoyed it. But every subsequent viewing has only
diminished the experience.

Halloween and Horror Classifieds (ghostman)
Does anyone know where to find Halloween and Horror classifieds to advertise shopping online, buy, sell, or trade, etc? Your help will be much appreciated! ;)

Dracula Fan (Lord Ruthven)
I would say that without a doubt the Hammer series is better. It's got two amazing actors, Peter Cushing and Christopher Lee where as Bela Lugosi is totally overrated as Dracula. Though iconic, his actual mannerisms in the movie are goofy. Not to mention that the universal movies are boring.

Dracula Fan (Lord Ruthven)
Yes really, but that does not include vampire movies. the character must be based on Bram Stokers character of dracula.
