Folks, I betcha this one's gonna make somebody alot of money. The movie's titular character is simply howling to be made into an action figure or a comic book series, or both. I mean, it's got "Cult Favorite" stamped all over it. Think Halloween costumes, animated features, the works. It's CHAINSAW SALLY, originally a website only design that just may become the next horror movie scream queen!
Debuting December of last year, CHAINSAW SALLY is the independent DV-filmed straight-to-DVD horror movie brainchild of Jimmy Burril and it stars April Monique as the sexy Sally. Surprisingly, co-starring cameo spots go out to Gunnar "Leatherface" Hansen (as Sally's father) and Herschell Gordon "Blood Feast" Lewis (as the strange hardware store owner).
CHAINSAW SALLY is a revenge story about a girl and her trusty chainsaw. After witnessing the horrific murder of her parents at the age of ten, Sally and her cross-dressing closet-queen brother grow up taking care of each other the best they can. But at night, however, the meek and mousy Sally becomes "Chainsaw Sally", a violent vigilante hellbent on doing in the bad guys of the streets. And when greedy landowners show up to develop the abandoned lot where Sally's home rests, the blood starts to flow, and in mucho amounts.
Not impressed? Maybe it's best if you see it for yourself then. Click HERE to choose your trailer format and size (you can even download it straight to your harddrive too) and click HERE to visit the main CHAINSAW SALLY website.
And in the meantime, here's some pix from the film to gaze upon (click for a larger view)...
