SEE NO EVIL
8/10 - WHAT YOU CANNOT SEE CAN KILL YOU...
SEE NO EVIL would never get made today. It is a film that is so highly cinematic, with minimal dialog, and is built so resolutely on the level of the audience keeping one step ahead of Mia Farrow’s blind Sarah that few audiences would have the patience to watch it. Like David Mamet’s HOUSE OF GAMES, it requires you to think. Like Steven Spielberg’s DUEL, it requires you to pay attention. It’s not the sort of movie one watches while ironing or talking on a cell phone.
You must see this film. Period.
