Exclamation Osama bin Laden is DEAD!

Just a heads up... Afghan leader OBL has been killed by a U.S. military strike and his body is now in U.S. possession.

It's about time! Is it strange to see that mass applause outside the White House in Washington, DC??? :D

I'm yet to be totally convinced he is dead.
I would like some hard proof that he is.
If he is dead, good riddance.

I know what you mean Franc.

I mean this "burial at sea" idea seems crazy. WTF, after spending 10+ year hunting him down, would you just throw him overboard. Makes no sense.

On the other hand I have no doubt the US government isn't stupid enough to say they got him if he could just send out another video proving otherwise. That would look terrible for them.

So that leaves me with the theory that they have him in a cell somewhere, and are going to interrogate him for the rest of his life.

And yeah G, American responses can be funny. Honestly, seeing a load of male Americans chanting "USA! USA! USA!" with unbelievable earnestness (at whatever venue) does tend to raise a smile/laugh from most of your foreign neighbours.

I think that says something about people on both sides.

LOL, nice pic.

Imagine his last moments, when he realised he'd been found, though?

Biggest "Oh Shit!...." EVAR.

BBC reports image as fake, expects real photo to be released in the future.

Quote:
No decision had yet been taken on whether to release a photograph of Bin Laden's body, Mr Carney said, conceding that the image was "pretty gruesome" and could inflame some sensitivities.
But Mr Panetta later said the government was in talks about the best way to do so.

"I don't think there was any question that ultimately a photograph would be presented to the public," he said.

An image which was widely distributed on the internet purporting to show Bin Laden's corpse has been determined to be a fake.

Why was he thrown in the sea?

That's good question.... if we bury his body under the ground and there will be a lot of people who will pray over him to bring more violence against USA and UK, even Western countries!

Anyways, no worries.... there was some more bombings in the mountains in Afghanistan and Pakistan a couple of days ago by the order of President Barack. Wait and see what happens next.
