As far as I'm concerned, no Roddy McDowall = no Fright Night.

Couldn't agree more. Roddy Mcdowall as Peter Vincent was fantastic.

Yeah, I'm not saying I won't watch it, it just disgusts me when they try to compare a movie to a classic when you can see for yourself in the trailer that they won't even come close to touching it. Different era of movie making, different special effects, different moment in time. Want to make a vampire movie? Great, give it an original title and leave the classics alone.

I agree with that (check out Let the right One In; great originals are out there). Fright Night is one of those movies I remember from childhood, and is so much a part of the era- music, SFX and all!

I'd have to go with A Nightmare On Elm Street. Closest I've come to walking out on a movie in a long time.

No mention of Dracula 2011?
With Dario Argento directing it's got to have some potential.

Unfortunately.

Took my daughter to see it. We were both pretty disappointed.

If I would've seen it at the cinema I would've been too!!

I hope they don't remake the sequel .. that will be very disappointing!
