Post AVATARS, get them here

Prompted by MystMoonstruck I thought I'd start an Avatar thread where people can look for new ones to use here. Or request any if people are obliging.

Our standard size is 150x150 (that's the max size currently too).

I'll start off by posting the couple I've done (which are pre-selectable options):

Pinhead

Captain Spaulding

One new one

Woah! That's a tough act to follow! Wormy eyeball... Now, THAT is a horror image!

Here are some of mine:
Dead Birds

Phantasm's The Tall Man

These are in honor of our beloved forum:

I have some others in the works, both regular and "Horror Express"'.

Excellent job MM. Just what we're looking for. I appreciate it.

The Horror Express ones are cool.

For anyone that doesn't have an Avatar, it's cool to have more choices. And if you have any requests let us know and we'll see if we can help out.

Thank you! Back at ya! My stuff's a bit tamer, but maybe I'll get inspired to go for more gore. I do love searching for images!

What the heck?! I'll post four more while I'm here:
May: Make new friends!

It's a GOOD life!

The Legend of Hell House

It: "We float..."

NOTE: I bumped my signature on this post just because.

Hooray! We have feedback! I really do enjoy working with graphics though avatars are one of the easier types. So far, I've been lucky that most images have worked when reduced to standard size. Here are a few more:

Alice Sweet Alice

Twilight Zone

Ghost Story

Here's a mystery pic, which I forgot to ID when I collected it:

I'm a redhead, so I tend to collect images of them throughout filmdom and elsewhere.

I'm late getting on line after having stayed up till about 7 a.m.or thereabouts. So....

WOW! I like all three additions, but it makes me feel guilty that I haven't looked for images of the iconic Bruce Campbell. The skull is simple but very effective. And, the machete one should please any gore-lover, of which we have many here, of course.

Actually, 150x150 gives us a lot of room to work and to preserve some memorable images. I'm hoping to have a different one up each week or two, however long I feel attached to the image. One can never have too many avatars or signatures~unless I run out of room in Photobucket. *snicker*

This one didn't turn out quite the way I wanted since I toyed with hues/saturation too much:
I am Pazuzu!

EYE

CTHULHU

CTHULHU TOO

I must admit that, when I heard about "Cloverfield" and there were monster speculations, I dreamt of an H.P. Lovecraft film, Cthulhu awakened to the modern world. Now, THAT could have been something! The second Cthulhu image sparked such visions of what an all-out HPL movie could be. *sigh*

Is it sheer overkill to leave more at this time?

Thank you! I'm actually having a lot of fun finding workable images.

I have to admit that Photobucket makes it rather easy to turn an image into an avatar. You can resize it to exactly 150x150, brighten/darken it, even adjust the color of the image. I usually do that in PrintShop, but PB is much speedier.

While I'm here, I'll deposit a few more:
Peter Cushing in The Creeping Flesh

TCOW: feast goes to the dogs ~ ummm ~ wolves

Little Red & the Wolf (Wish that I could find the artist's name.)

The Howling

If anyone is interested in using any of these, maybe John can arrange it. Beyond providing a link, I'm not sure about how I'd go about sharing them, which I'm happy to do.

I could wait for feedback or more art from other members, but I think it should be OK if I post more avatars/icons~I hope.

Jacksicle ~ The Shining

The Fog

Thank you, Woodenheart, but I have to admit that Photobucket makes it fairly easy to work wonders with images. Actually, I had used the editing tools only a couple of times before, when I decided that I wanted to make up a bunch of avatars/icons. If others want to use any of them, I'd be delighted! I'm experimenting with a whole range of images obviously and plan to rotate mine frequently unless I get attached to one.

Now for some more:
AAWIL: Jackwolf

Pennyworth the Clown

Ninjagirl (not horror, but cool!)

GARGOYLES
