Thumbs up Underworld: Rise of the Lycans

Guess what???

Just caught the trailer on TV tonite and it is coming out to all theaters on January 23rd, 2009! However, I was saddened to see that actress Kate Beckinsale will not return to this third installment.

So, here's the information you can see: www.imdb.com/title/tt0834001

I am still thinking about going to see it - but not really sure yet!

Honestly, I do like both Underworld films - part 1 and 2.

Better pray that the third part is good!

I'm anxious to see this if only because I've been itching for some werewolf action.

There needs to be more good werewolf movies!!!!

i would have to agree...both part 1 and 2 were pretty good...hopefully the third would be as good or even better...and it does suck that Kate Beckinsale isnt in the 3rd one...

The story for this film is before Kate's character is turned.

This is about Victor's daughter and when she falls in love with Lucian. This is when the war started.

"Professor! Can't you examine my brain without removing it?"

"Yes, easily."

So you know this movie is out everywhere at the theaters today.... it's hard for me to think about going see it because I feel like I have to wait for Friday The 13th to come out in only 3 weeks from now.

Well, first of all, I'd like to hear some reviews about this Underworld: Rise of the Lycans... and if it's good, then I will definite go see it!

Well, some people still don't get it... some say they're a bit lost... so, is this another or rather 3rd movie to Underworld: Evolution?

Here is this prequel story traces the origins of the centuries - old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires known as Death Dealers and their one-time slaves, the Lycans. In the Dark Ages, a young Lycan named Lucian emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor, the cruel vampire king who has enslaved them, Lucian is joined by his secret lover, Sonja, in his battle against the Death Dealer army and his struggle for Lycan freedom.

Honestly, my cousin went and saw it last Friday nite and he really didn't even like this movie because of some silly scary screens and other things like that, so he adviced me not to see it... But I guess I have to wait for it to DVD.

So well... have anyone seen it yet?

It ran for a lil over an hour and thirty minutes.

All in all it was enjoyable, but I dunno...

I just wasn't all hyped or psyched after the lights came back up. Maybe it's because it's just a filled out retelling of the story about Victor and Lucian you heard in the first movie.

Some nice onscreen werewolf transformations though and a nice battle that was just shy of like LotR epic.
