Default Re-watching a movie: better effect?

When I initially watched The Shining, it didn't really scare me, but after re-watching the opening in my Film Studies class, I noticed how scary it was. I think I had the same with Halloween; repeated watching of the opening sequences had a better effect.

Anyone had this?

I find it helps me to pick up on things I may have missed prior.

Yeah I find rewatching films helps me to pick up on things I missed the first time round. A Tale of Two Sisters required several re-watches on my part

"Professor! Can't you examine my brain without removing it?"

"Yes, easily."

i always find that re watching movies makes you more vulnerable. like the movie takes you so far and then after the movie has been watched 2 or 3 times your thoughts take you the rest of the way

This.

The 1st time I watch a movie it's about sheer entertainment. To really appreciate it I need to go back and watch it again.

If the plot is complicated instead of straight forward, it really helps to check it out more than once.

I find it helpful, really helpful for movies you watch randomly an don't know anything about haha, I know with Wrestlemaniac I thought it was crap the first watch an then I watched it a month later an the special features an stuff an I actually enjoyed an comeone who doesn't love movie based about a Amateur Porn crew getting murdered by a masked mexican wrestler haha
