More More Milla! - 'Resident Evil 2' Details Emerge

[I 210w resevil_03 I]Not everyone was thrilled with Paul W.S. Anderson's RESIDENT EVIL. Personally, I was shocked at just how much I enjoyed it. And yes, I unapologetically await the sequel. Now, it looks like some details of that sequel have emerged.



has posted a ton of info on the sequel, called RESIDENT EVIL 2: APOCALYPSE (it was formerly believed to be going under the title RESIDENT EVIL 2: NEMESIS). The big news is that the sequel will begin filming in July for a proposed mid-2004 release. The casting process has begun.



Milla Jovovich (THE FIFTH ELEMENT, JOAN OF ARC) and Eric Mabius (THE CROW: SALVATION) will return as Alice and Matt Attison, respectively. They will be joined by new characters, three of whom are vets from the RE video games. Jill Valentine is one of these characters, but the part has not been cast yet. I guess we can put those fantasies of a Milla Jovovich-Natasha Henstridge team-up to rest. Dang!

Paul W.S. Anderson will produce, as well as write the script. It is uncertain whether he will return to the director's chair. RESIDENT EVIL 2: APOCALYPSE will film for three months in Toronto, Canada.

And I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one that just loves MILLA JOVOVICH. It all started with THE FIFTH ELEMENT and she was NEKKID in it too.

Have you ever listened to the audio commentary on the RESIDENT EVIL DVD? She's a nut!
