IGNORE USER
Click on another Users name. At the top under Profile options is the option IGNORE USER.
This will stop you seeing posts this user makes (or has already made). I suggest people use this if there is a user you just "don't like", rather than getting into slanging matches that do no-one any good.

VIEW NEW POSTS
Instantly be shown a list of EVERY thread that a new post has been made in since you last logged in.
Simply click VIEW NEW POSTS on the right of your members bar, under the main banner.
From this message listing you can click "Mark all forums as read and return to index" at the top of the message listing (on the right).

GET LAST POSTS
When you have a long thread you have previously read but you only want to see the new posts click the small icon at the left of the post title. This will take you immediately to the start of the new posts in the thread, and bypass every post you have read.
This icon will appear both in the main forum view, and within the forum itself (the icon is different in both views however).

MARK FORUM AS READ
Clicking on the bright icon on the left of each Forum list will mark that Forum as read and change the icon to dull (meaning there are no new posts in this Forum). The next time the icon is bright new posts have been added.

SEARCH
While I'm sure this is pretty obvious to many, the link for it (at the top right) is very unobtrusive, so I know some people have missed it.

So, if there's a thread you remember reading a while back and you now have a comment for it, this is the quickest way to find it. You can do a general search, or just a search for topic titles. If you click MORE OPTIONS you can search on Usernames, Date, etc.
