This guy's got some interesting "Category 3" stuff. Anyone bought or traded anything with this fella yet?

He's got some interesting things, but a bunch of it you can just go out and buy the originals for cheaper than he's selling the bootleg for!

I'm cool with boots of stuff that don't have a legit release, but this guys selling stuff like THE SMUGGLER(aka Contraband) and Deadbeat at Dawn.

He's making money off of Blue Underground's and Synapse's hard work!
That's of course unless he's selling inferior product and not just copying the dvds of the above mentioned companies. Then you're paying more for crap versions.

Hi, this is Rob, owner of CODEBLUE VIDEO. First of all, I don't sell any titles available in the US. Deadbeat At Dawn and The Smuggler are both removed from my site. Now that that's cleared up, anyone can contact me at UNSANE331@AOL.COM. New releases have been updated on 7/29. All questions about buying or trading are welcome, thanx for the interest.

Hi, this is Jay, owner of a dvd-burner, a few nifty programs and a decent dvd collection, but that doesn't make me the owner of some kind of video company. You are ripping people off, both consumers and REAL dvd companies.

Within the first few pages of your Asian section I have found the following titles that can be had from LEGIT on online dealers from LEGIT dvd companies in the form of actual factory pressed and printed dvds and covers. Not the DVD-Rs that you are peddling. I'm sure there's many more on your site but it would be quite a task to list them all.

A CHINESE TORTURE CHAMBER STORY $11.99 Tai Seng
A CHINESE TORTURE CHAMBER STORY 2 $13.99 Tai Seng
LAMB IN DESPAIR Yes Asia $6.99
ABNORMAL BEAUTY dddhouse.com about $11
BROTHER OF DARKNESS Tai Seng 11.96
DAUGHTER OF DARKNESS 1 & 2 Tai Seng or EVEN AMAZON for under $12!
GREEN SNAKE Tai Seng $16
A CHINESE TORTURE CHAMBER STORY $11.99 Tai Seng
A CHINESE TORTURE CHAMBER STORY 2 $13.99 Tai Seng
LAMB IN DESPAIR Yes Asia $6.99
ABNORMAL BEAUTY dddhouse.com about $11
BROTHER OF DARKNESS Tai Seng 11.96
DAUGHTER OF DARKNESS 1 & 2 Tai Seng or EVEN AMAZON for under $12!
GREEN SNAKE Tai Seng $16
SEVENTH CURSE bought this from dddhouse for about $5.
RUN AND KILL saw this in Media Play or you can get it even cheaper online.

Shaw/Celestial R3 dvds that can be had for $14 or under in Chinatown shops or even cheaper from places like www.DDDhouse.com that sell LEGIT PRODUCT!
BELLS OF DEATH
BLACK MAGIC
Hex

CURE-R1 release from Home Vision Entertainment

GODZILLA:FINAL WARS- Thai Release with no English subs(R0, PAL), or Japanese R2 w/o English subs release that came out today. Sony bought the US home video rights and is planning a fall R1 release.

H- R1 release from Tartan Video www.amazon.com

Will you be removing all these also? Jeez, good bootleggers offer something that you can't find elsewhere and transfer it nicely or subtitle a film that doesn't have a subbed release. You on the other hand charge people $13 for a.25 cent DVD-R with a movie that's already released recorded on it!

I gotta say, that's pretty damn funny!

JAY, our new DVD-R bootleg watchdog!

To the asshole authority JAY. I have a REAL video store besides my web site store. I also have a video production studio, not just some lame dvd burner software from Walmart like yourself. I am also currently working with my friend Rusty Friedenberg on some screenplays, who has starred in numerous OLAF ITTENBACH films. Have you heard of OLAF ITTENBACH? So don't be jealous and a prick just because someone has good horror they are trying to offer people for cheap. Most people charge twice as much. So you can go to these other places for VCDS and pay the costly S/H, most of which are right here in the U.S. Since you have all this time in between beating off to internet porn to criticize my web site, start your own. I've never seen such a loser who loves to post bullshit on forums in my life.

Please excuse me for not being ignorant and not believing everything people say.

You resort immediately to personal attacts on me, calling me an asshole, loser, beating off to internet porn, etc. That's a sure sign of trying to cloud the arguement and not deal with the facts. The FACT being you are offering bootleg product that you can find LEGITIMATE DVDS of FOR CHEAPER than you offer bootlegs for. If I got caught in such a LAME ASS LIE I'm be pissed too.

Nice you get to name drop OLAF ITTENBACH. Even though it's YOUR FRIEND that has worked with him. And claim you have a video store along with a video production studio. Is the video production studio a camcorder and a corner of your bedroom? If you really had such things going on then I doubt you would have time to have a little website and sell $13 DVD-Rs.

Now please run along..........

Not trying to butt in here but I've never seen any of his films myself. I've heard some good things and alot of bad things about his two more popular flicks, Le6ion of the Dead and Premutos.

Got any kind words to say about those two movies?

For what it's worth, I stumpled unto this copyright distribution tidbit while searching for an import KUNG FU HUSTLE DVD to buy.

The quote below is from the more than legit Asian DVD superstore HKFLIX and it states that it has to stop all sells of import DVD's for this particular title because a USA-based company now has the rights to the film.

Quote:
KUNG FU HUSTLE "HK Signature Cover"

URGENT NOTE: Sony Pictures owns the USA distribution rights to this film. As such, we are unable to sell this DVD to anyone with a USA shipping address. If you live in the USA and order this film, it will be automatically cancelled without further notice.
Any comments?

-Steve

Why not just buy from overseas dvd companies? I've bought from a few and have never had any problems or hassles. They are also cheaper than "middleman" stores line Poker and HKFlix.

My understanding is that you are allowed to import a copy of something like Kung Fu Hustle [HK Signature Cover] for personal use.

Maybe we should start a new thread for this. Wouldn't want to confuse this issue with the nonsense that's been posted in this thread. <_<

Yeah, you're right. But hey, since the companies are obviously just "selling" the movie and don't hold any distribution rights, why don't we just make our own "custom" KUNG FU HUSTLE DVD and charge a meager $13 for it instead of the regular $15. Because it seems that everything's just public domain titles anyway if we go that route.
