So, what about next month's movie? I kind of want to watch Last House on the Left, given that we're going with gritty seventies movies haha. Plus it's on Netflix, I believe :D

I'd be all over that, Styg. It would be nice to do a compare-and-contrast. And see if it makes one of Franc's points.

Plus, I ain't seen it so...

Anyone else on board, or there any other suggestions?

I'll give it a rewatch, not seen it for about ten years...you've gotta watch it uncut though! I also thought Scovalinis "Nightmare" AKA Nightmares in a Damaged Brain would have made a good choice, especially as its easily watched uncut on YouTube.

Okay, with the four of us, let's consider that one over the line then. LAST HOUSE it is.

Let's wait until September though. I'm gonna be away in a few days.

Haven't seen Last House so I'll be up for that. I don't have a copy but I'll find it somewhere. Just so I know we're on the same page I gather we're watching the original?

"Some sort, yes. In France it's called a guillotine."

"Professor! Can't you examine my brain without removing it?"

"Yes, easily."

No room/time for that glossy remake, it's gotta be the gritty original.

Sorry I missed the discussion ....I was away on vacation. What I enjoyed with TCM is it was very gritty. No computer generated effects. This what I love about all of the 70's horror movies. Hopefully one day we will have a discussion about The Hills Have Eyes. (hint)

On a quick note on The Last House on the Left...David Hess was the movie. Does anyone recall him directing a movie called "To all a goodnight"?

So...Last House on the Left? I think a lot of people are busy and haven't been around lately. You folks with your jobs and lives and families...sheesh! :P. I kid, I kid. I just wanted to leave a little reminder, that's all, haha.

Fair play, Styg, you're right. I was away visiting my sister and nephews for a few week, but I've been back a while.

I haven't seen it yet, anyone else?

I watched it very recently, as a result of this thread. An actual post needs starting for a debate.
