Jurassic Park on Blu ray. One of the greatest movies of all time given the HD treatment. The result? Brilliant. Age has not diminished the CGI as much as I thought it would (remastering may have had a hand in this) but the overall picture and sound quality has given a whole new lease of life to this classic.

"Is this some sort of brain scanner?"

"Some sort, yes. In France it's called a guillotine."

"Professor! Can't you examine my brain without removing it?"

"Yes, easily."

Love JP. Remember going to see it when it first came out and was blown away.

CGI in the early days when it still had the power to deliver the shock of the new

I watched Prometheus yesterday. It's not precisely horror so I'll mention it here. I liked it, but it got a bit muddled in the end. Raised a lot of questions but didn't provide any real answers to them. Still, interesting movie.

Kind of feel the same about it. Visually stunning to look at. Wasn't quite sure about the look of the creatures tho.

Men in Black 3. Best one in the series in my view. Great writing and the performances were as solid as usual. The 3D was spectacular too. If you're an MIB fan and you haven't seen this one yet then you simply must

I loved the first movie. Think I've seen the second but can't remember much about it. I think the creature designs and SFX (Chet Zar and Rick Baker) were inspired in the first movie.

Rock of Ages

Considering it stars 4 people I really cannot stand. Tom Cruise, Alex Baldwin, Catherine Zeta Jones and Russell Brand I went in with very expectations but as it turns I just plain fell in love with this film. Great soundtrack (70's/80's rock will always be the greatest) brilliant characters all played superbly well by the cast and just hugely entertaining. The missus and I were singing all the way back home and will more than likely go and see it again.

If you have even a slight inkling of interest in this film. Treat yourself and go and see it.

Jurassic Park 3. Not a patch on the original but a vast improvement from the 2nd film

The Dark Knight Rises. Wow what a film. Tom Hardy was the perfect choice for Bane and Anne Hathaway (who I'm not a fan of) made a pretty damn fine Catwoman. I really can't say anymore without spoiling the film for anyway who hasn't seen it. Amazing film, well written, great performances and Hans Zimmer delivers another spectacular soundtrack

TDKR was a great movie! Going to see it again tomorrow. Lately I've been watching Bruce Lee movies. Fun times!

9 Songs

I was curious to see if it had any substance or if it was porn masquerading as art.

It was the latter.
