Mother's Day

Hey

I was just wondering if any of you have seen the move Mother's Day and what you thought of it?? It has Rebecca DeMornay in it and was released in 2010. I know there was an original made in 1980 which I vaguely remember seeing years ago. Has anybody seen that one?

I would be interested to know your thoughts on this movie

Never seen that movie. Is it any good? If so, I will check it out. Also, I've seen the original one either.

The 2010 version was good. Nice gore but to me the brothers were weak. Not convincing at all. They needed alittle more insanity. Rebecca was awesome as the mother. Ike, the oldest son was okay but the so called crazy one..blah..Didn't buy his act. All in all pretty cool watch.

I am glad you enjoyed the film too. Yes, Rebecca Demornay was fantastic as Mother and very convincing!

I saw the orginal Mother's Day back in the 80s....Not a great movie...but not bad....It was just another typical 80's horror movie. It borrowed its theme from the TCM..a family of phychos that kidnap and torture people...

Not yet, after I see this one & if I like it, I'll probably check out the original. I'll post my review scores on each film after I see them.

I watched this one earlier today, i havnt been that entertained by a horror movie in a long time.

I thought Mother's Day tried to hard to be shocking.

"Oh my God - she's sadistic, and a mother-figure! Look - SHE'S SAYING MOTHERY THINGS!!"

I didn't like it.

Agreed. The effort was there but ultimately just tried tooo hard and I didn't like it. I was disappointed.
