'Dumplings', could have been good but the director couldn't finish it.

If this part of the 3 extremes collection?

I watched Ichi the Killer on DVD last night and I cant believe how much has been cut from it. I was sitting watching with a friend and I am going "wait till you see this bit, here is comes, here it comes!" and then nothing would happen. I ended up switching it off.

Liked this one quite a bit.
I don't know I've seen many revenge dramas (not even OLDBOY) but this did exactly what it said on the tin. When he caught him early on I thought "he's caught him, now what?". Of course that was only the beginning. The "hero" protagonist ended up being ultimately responsible for all the deaths that happened after that point. So yeah, that's a true "revenge" movie, taken to its extreme.

Although now that I think about it Choi "Oldboy" Min-sik was really the protagonist, making the secret agent, the "good guy" the antagonist. Even this choice was interesting. Min-sik I thought was excellent. While the secret agent guy seemed more of a faceless arse-kicker. Nice swapping of roles.

8/10 Definitely recommended to any Asian/Revenge fans.

Chichibu Demon

Another found footage film. It's spoilt by a really weak ending.

Oldboy: Fantastic! I was really excited about this and then realised that I actually seen this a couple of year ago but never really paid much attention the first time round.

Next I plan to watch The Happiness of the Katakuris and I Saw The Devil

I Saw The Devil is amazing, Happiness Of The Katakuris is godawful.

Macabre looks like something I might enjoy. What was TS like, any good?

Hard to tell without subs. Just a young Japanese woman going round having sex with all genders & mid shag sprouting Alienesque razor sharp tenticles & killing them. Kind of a pinku version of Species.
