Ok, so I've been awaiting this since I first heard the series would continue to a thrid. It's been a while, but with it getting screenings now, here's some reviews (the uncubed review was awful to read, and seemed to give away a lot) and tid-bits...

"Within the first five minutes you will get your purchase or rents worth out of 'Zero.' I haven't seen a melting man scene as cool as this in- man- maybe never!"

"'Cube: Zero' isn't the best of the series, but it comes close. There was a lot of discussion about the film and the main point that was made was: what do you want and expect from a 'Cube' movie? The answer: Everything found in 'Cube: Zero,' which is why I'm highly recommending the movie to you."

Congratulations to Cube Zero writer/director Ernie Barbarash and the effects specialists from the movie. They have officially taken home the award for best effects at Screamfest L.A.

A huge improvement over the second installment and a pretty solid horror flick, sequel status aside, Cube Zero is a clever, creepy, goopy and surprisingly inventive little thriller. Fans of the series will be thrilled to learn a little bit about the "other side" of the Cube's purpose and maintenacne...but I'm not about to spoil the goods, people.

I'm going to keep my eye out for a sci-fi cinema screening, but the DVD should arrive Febuary next year.
