I absolutely loved MAY. It was one of those rare gems you just kinda stumble into blindly and end up really thankful you gave it a try.
I did a review of it here at HORROR EXPRESS. Check it out and see if you agree...

If you're interested, actress ANGELA BETTIS (who played May) is also in an upcoming remake of THE TOOLBOX MURDERS. Hopefully it'll be good. And director LUCKY MCKEE has two more horror flicks on the horizon. Check International Movie Database for the titles THE WOODS and RED for more info about them.

MAY was brilliant from beginning to end. Just one of those haunting masterpieces that doesn't come around too often. Just read an interview in Rue Morgue with Tobe Hooper. He just freaked out over the film, so much so that Bettis was reportedly the first and only choice for the lead in his TOOLBOX remake.

It’s a great little movie and a fantastic debut, although personally I found it more of a drama with horror elements than a full blown horror. I like the way it pokes fun at typical horror and alternative types and yet most of them seem to miss that element.

May is a great movie. Very well done. Angela Bettis was very good. Especially in the "hard nipple" scene while walking to the coffee shop. :woot:

I too, thought MAY was a great horror film. It introduced me to Angela Bettis who I thought did a wonderful job in the film. I also enjoyed her performance in Tobe Hooper's THE TOOLBOX MURDERS. I also found it funny that Jeremy Sisto's character, Adam, was a huge Argento fan, that was a big surprise!

I actually enjoyed Tobe Hooper's TOOLBOX MURDERS. I read pretty dissapointing reviews on the film, and heard that it wasn't very gory, but when I sat down to watch it, I was very entertained and thought that the kill scenes had a decent amount of gore in it; not a bunch, but enough. Overall, I'd pick up a copy when it gets released.
