A TALE OF TWO SISTERS, a great poster AND a great movie. I read that the poster design was actually banned from public displays in Korea because of the presentation of the two bloody girls. Now that's a sign that you're doing something good, ya know.

I love those SAW posters. Both of them.

I've been trying to do a redesign of the site, and used both of them in the header image. They're just perfect.
The other saw posters I didn't like at all. Far too dark and murky to make anything out.

I think they should have tried a bloody saw in the frame too though.

Now they are excellent. All of them.

I prefer the ones for FACE somewhat. Especially the first one.

The lighting on the images is just perfect, and I really dig that whole light/dark thing. The (innocent?) girls face being the only light point, with the dark figure crowding into the frame.
Very interesting posters.

It's got me interested in the movie a little.

I'm going to think of my favourites and post them when I come to some conclusions. When I do redesigns I always select certain cover images so that they portray the whole look in a better light, so I'm very conscious of what posters look good (to me), and what don't.

That is a cool DVD design! I guess I better see the movie because the sequel is on the way. Read on...

Lions Gate Films confirmed yesterday that SAW 2 will happen and will happen quickly. Filming is slated to begin right after the first of the year for release in Oct. of next year. Very quick indeed.

Director James Wan and writer Leigh Whannell are said to be onboard as Exec. Producers but will not be involved in any other way. The new director and writer have yet to be announced. "They’ve entrusted their franchise to us, and we’re not going to screw it up" states Twisted Pictures head Oren Koules.

Well Steve, I'm glad to say that I'll own a copy of this promotional flyer/poster after the weekend (once it arrives i nthe post that is). I've been buying a lot of neat Japnese movie flyers recently, and some of these things are just so damn good.
