Title of Horror movie

I am trying to find out the name of a movie I saw a long time ago. Sorry I don’t have many details. I saw the movie back in the early eighties so I would say the movie was made either in the late seventies or early eighties. The one scene I remember is a church scene where they are having service when a crucifix above the altar area begins to bleed around the wounds of Christ. Then one of the nails on the crucifix begins to loosen and then comes out and flies across the church into the head of one of the church members.

Please help me if you can. I would like to try and find this movie if I can. I saw the movie on cable (HBO or Showtime).

I don't know the name of the movie but that scene sounds pretty cool. Heck, I'd like to see it now myself.

Thank you 42nd Street Freak. I read some information on this movie after searching the Internet and I am positive this was the movie I saw when I was younger.
I'm sure I won't be able to find this movie at the local video store, so, now I need to decide if I want to buy the movie to see it again. The reviews I read were not that good.

It's VERY slow...But the finale is a full on gore fest and lot's of fun.

I'm sure it's this film...they are holding a service with the army cadets and the nail flies out of the cross and hits the chaplin in the forehead.

sorry guys i beg to differ i saw evil speak when i was young while have a sunday night video nasty fest for behind the curtains while my uncles were baby sitting
but anyway i like evil speak the bit where the girl gets chomp on in the bath pure class

but the puppy now thats just messed up :cry:
