The Hills Have Eyes coming to DVD -- Finally!

The wait is over: Anchor Bay Entertainment has officially secured the DVD rights to Wes Craven’s classic THE HILLS HAVE EYES, and will release a deluxe two-disc set this September. “We’re giving it the NEAR DARK treatment,” says the company’s Michael Felsher, who says that the movie will be newly remastered with fresh Dolby and DTS soundtracks. Extras have yet to be determined, but Anchor Bay hopes to provide audio commentaries, onscreen interviews and more.

Great news! In what is admittedly a spotty career, THE HILLS HAVE EYES features some of the best work Wes Craven has ever done. Personally, I find it a much more brutal and exciting film than even LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT. I will be first in line to pick this one up, finances be damned! B)
