NEW FORUM SKIN (comments appreciated)

Putting together a new skin for the forum (that I'll be integrating with the main site).

Let me know if you like, dislike or have any thoughts. It's not finished yet, so is up for modification if people have ideas.

A big part of the reason for it is I think the years-old main black skin is ugly as hell, mainly due to all the jagged edges on the generic forum gif icons. As well as being awfully generic.

I'm unsure about the forum icons with Captain Spaulding hats, and if they're thematic enough. Though replacement options so far seem to be very generic skulls, or Jason masks, etc. And the color on the Spaulding hats looks great for new/old posts, compared to say white skulls/masks.

The only drawback with the hats is that they look more patriotic than anything else... not that that's a bad thing, just kinda weird for a horror site. I don't think many people would make the correlation between the hats and Captain Spaulding, unless you told them that's what the're from, imo.

But it's definitely a better all-around look and I particulary like the header pics and how the icons show up better. Big improvement! :)

Btw, there still seems to be a problem with the edges around this one -> :teeth:

Can't tell you how many redesigns I've given up on over the years because I've eventually disliked them before they were ever uploaded. This one I'm feeling actually OK about though.

I was going to try to tie it in with having a Spaulding image in the top left polaroid, but I still don't think that would help much.

Honestly I want opinions, because I'm pretty sure it's going to be going live soon an I want others perspectives on it but my own.

I've got a lot of things I want to kick back into gear with the site, as I've let it stagnate for far too long. Step 1 is a proper look to the forums (and then integrations with the main site).

Instead of the hats what about hockey masks?

My only other suggestion would be instead of your new header what about a gif of either Linnea Quigley's graveside Trash dance, or her dance of the double chainsaws!

Looked at both masks (Jason, Myers) and the formers better because it at least has a bit of colour. Even that's a little monochrome for my liking though. But probably going to have to be used.

I took it out because it needs updating to fit in better.
