I love the book -- a work I remember as my first introduction to not only novel-length horror fiction but also to Stephen King, lo those many years ago -- so of course I'm looking forward to this new adaptation with great anticipation:
Production Weekly indicates that shooting of a new 4-hour TNT miniseries of Stephen King's 'Salem's Lot begins in Australia in April. Mikael Salomon is attached to direct with Peter Filardi ("Flatliners," "The Craft") adapting the novel.
