Although I am well aware this isn't a 'horror' movie, but man oh man, the score in this movie is the creepiest I've ever heard. The voice of Frank is so perfect. Like, it's perfect. I wonder what Richard Kelly said after they perfected that voice. I mean, that shit's scary.
It's too bad they couldn't have come out with a soundtrack with the great '80's songs on it. Man, Killing Moon by Echo and the Bunneymen, Notorious by Duran Duran, and Love will Tear us Apart by Joy Division. This is top notch shit!

Ya'know DD suprised the hell out of me.
I'd heard so much great stuff about it (from trusted sources here) that I thought I couldn't fail to love it. But I was a bit underwhelmed. Ii mean I didn't hate it. But I just was left with a "is that it?" feeling.
I think I need to rewatch it at some point, because it occurs to me that it may be one of those movies that improves with each rewatching.
There's nothing worse though than going into a movie with really high expectations - you're almost doomed to dissapointment. That's why whenever I recommend a film I try and play it down also.
