I remember two movies from my childhood that I just cannot put a name to, no matter how much googling I do!

No.1:
I remember a scene, I think it was a period piece, where a male protagonist is visited by a female character who is implied to actually be a demon or vampire or something...anyway...despite trying to conceal this, our male protagonist knows what she is and invites her to sit in a large wooden chair with a cross carved into the back. She sits down carfully avoiding contact with the back of the seat and following some conversation, our male protagonist retrieves a book from the shelf which he proceeds to open and flick through. He tells her that he wants to show her something in the book and then in a climax to the scene, he thrusts the open pages (which we now see have a large cross drawn on them) at her chest forcing he against the chair back and sandwiching her between to crosses. She screams and burns and crumbles to ash...thats all I can remember!

No.2:
An odd one now...I remember a movie about a mummy, who after grave-robbers steal some beads from his tomb, comes to life and goes searching for them. The beads, now having been sold on are made into various items of jewellery and are being worn by a number of women. The scene that stands out for me was a shower scene, where one woman is wearing some of the beads on a necklace and the mummy comes for her while she is in the shower. He snatches the beads from around her neck and leaves as she rapidly decomposes alive from being touched by him. Then all I remember is a scene where the mummy returns all the beads to his pyramid, stacked in a pyramid shape on a plinth and (though I may have imagined this part) it is revealed/implied that he is actually some sort of alien and that his pyramid is a spaceship.

Any help an yone can give me on these would be very appreciated...

The first one sounded a little like a scene in "Captain Kronos: Vampire Killer", but it's been so many years that I can't be certain. In it, a character notes that there are as many types of vampires as there are beasts of prey and that each type dies a different way. I'll see if I can do some research to verify this, but that's my first impulse.

Your second film is "Time Walker" (1982), which I recall seeing at the drive-in way back when. Here's the IMDb synopsis:
Professor Doug McCadden is in charge of opening his university's latest acquisition~a sealed Egyptian sarcophagus. Opening it reveals an ancient mummy and a mold substance that eats the flesh of anyone touching it. Later, sneaky student Pete Sharpe finds five hidden jewels in the bottom of the casket and distributes them to various co-eds on campus, not realizing the mummy, recently revived with an overdose of X-rays, is determined to reclaim them. McCadden, who has carefully analyzed X-rays taken of the mummy, comes to the reluctant conclusion that it is not what it seems. // starring Ben Murphy, Kevin Brophy, James Karen, Robert Random, Nina Axelrod, Shari Belafonte-Harper

Wow....thanks very much!

Those two sound spot on...I think I even remember the conversation from Captain Kronos that you mentioned!

Will pick up a copy and let you know!

I'm so happy that I could help! I haven't seen "Captain Kronos" for several years, so my memory is not complete of it. What a shame it wasn't a hit so that they could have launched the series they intended to. That and "Vampire Circus" are two of my favorites of that era.

I definitely was certain of "Time Walker", which sometimes show up as "Timewalker".

Yes, do let me know that my memory didn't play tricks on me. If it isn't, I'll have to do some research for other possibilities.
