Post Apocalyptic Masterpiece Novel will be released this year as a movie with the star of 'A History of Violence' and 'Eastern Promises', but not a Cronenberg Film.

The book was good but honestly the movie will do just as good a job since the book too often repeats the doomed scenery and scenario in what is only a novella. Very sad ending to the novel, but hopeful to. This book can be read in a day.

New Member here. I wanted to find a place to share my enjoyment of horror and thriller fiction.
I really enjoyed The Road (I listen to most books via unabridged audio versions) and was eagerly awaiting the movie. And I was not disappointed. i thought the movie effectively portrayed a bleak post-apocalyptic world. It didn't blatantly tell the viewer what happened, but one could connect the dots.

The Road was fantastic...dark, bittersweet. Viggo was amazing. I loved what he related to his son.

I'm upset that I missed this movie. I'll rent it as soon as it comes out.
