This has bugged me for a long time. I remember the whole plot of this movie, so here I go.
The main characters were brothers, and the younger one is plagued by nightmares. Long story short, the parents go out to some meeting, so both boys are home alone. Strange things start happening, like both of them seeing the living room torn apart, but turning out to be an illusion. The older dude's girlfriend comes over later. Um, (it gets a little hazy from here) the little boy faces the boogeyman (which, by the way, has really sharp nails, but not claws). Here's a specific scene I remember. A group of demons (for lack of a better word) standing in the hallway, walking towards some room, while the lead demon's arms are stretched out stratching against the wall (sort of like Freddy in the original Nightmare on Elm Street). Rock/Metal music was playing in the backgroud, so they sort of looked like some music act.
More information: I thought it was called Alone in the Dark or Afraid of the Dark, but using IMDb, I don't see any plot matches. I think it came out in the early 2000's. Low cast (not as bad as Hard Candy, though) with around 10 people in total. This may be off, and I don't know why I think this, but it may be Canadian. The whole movie took place over one night, basically.
Any help would be nice. I've been looking myself, but because of the other movies named Alone in the Dark (one from 1982, which was a good slasher, and one from 2005, which sucks, I heard), I've come up with nothing. As I said priorly, any help on this matter would be very useful. Thank you for any help you have to offer.
