You're not wrong. JohnShaft as well as many of our writers are indeed in the UK, and that's where we've gotten a strong amount of our audience - hence how I try to include the UK in the Ameri-centric news stories whenever possible.
Me, I'm a total yank. I'm living in Florida, having recently moved there from Minnesota. I work for a low pay for a very wholesome national cable television station. Our own webmaster, JohnShaft didn't even realize I was an American at first until I mentioned it. I think I said something like, "That's okay, I catch people off-guard with a basic ability to form complete sentences." I'm a big fan of self-deprecating humor. :D

Complete sentences.........very true. However it is thier language, we just borrowed pieces. I have the better than average American education, and I still cant spell; and dont even pretend that I speak The Queens Englesh(Elton John). :D

I have been in Tennessee all my life. Here the scary inbreds of such films as Just Before Dawn and The Hills Have Eyes are not fantasy. In fact they stand before you in line at Burger King.

Hi Keeder. You're not wrong about our British bias, but I think that has mostly drifted now.
If you look in the archives our reviewers are about 50/50 split English/American, with most of the newer reviewers being American.
I'm from the northern, more colder part, of England. And trust me when I say I'd swap for living in America (and that Arizonian sun) in a heartbeat. I'm an American born in the wrong country. B)

One of your best qualities mate. :)
Anyone who can laugh at themselves is OK in my book.
Hell, looking at myself in the mirror, I find it hard not to.

And who would that be again, dear? :D
As for Tennessee, there's a lot of the state I like. But I hope you won't mind that I once had an overnight stopover in Raccoon Mountain, TN (I think) and was scared shitless. Fucking DELIVERANCE country, man!!! Just kidding of course, the place is the birthplace of American music and the home of rock and roll.
KEEDERANG: Arizona I've always wanted to see. Hey, I have gone from twenty below blizzards with - I'm not kidding - wind chills that reached -42 once. Now, I'm wearing a short sleeve shirt, decorating the lawn for Christmas and if I never see another snowflake again it will be too soon. Wait til my blood warms over a bit, and I may head that way pretty soon.
JESTER21: I used to live in Jersey until I was just shy of thirteen. Used to go to Philadelphia all the time. Frequent visits to Wills Eye Hospital to take care of my ever-malfunctioning peepers.
JOHNSHAFT: Is that the ratio these days? Wow, we Americans are taking over everything. Don't worry though, it won't be a George W. Bush "victory," since I didn't vote for the asshole. ( Hmm, what is that clicking noise on my phone? :erm: )
As for the self-deprecating humor, it gets the better of me and I get lectured on not being hard on myself. But let's face it, if you can't laugh at yourself, you may as well give up. I'm a visually impaired 28 year old with minimal income and chronic depression... but I've got my humor and winning smile. :teeth: I too am sensitive about my face, build and voice and thus the World Wide Web is a godsend for communicating my views, skewed as they are.

That would be me! I made the same mistake twice and I felt like a stupid loaf so I gave up. You don't offend me at all man. There are plenty of places around here that are scary. I work for an electric company that services rural areas..ie redneck ville. Anyway, This guy built an extension on his house and built the house around our electric pole. Classy stuff..nothing like a utility pole in the middle of the room.

I still live in the cold, depressing north east of England. "It's grim up north".
Where do I *wish* I lived? Somewhere hot and sunny. And for cultural reasons, probably in the US.
And Unc, you are *the* master of the bump. :D

You mean like demonstrations? We've got them daily and for many different reasons. Other than that it's quite a big city and it's got a lot of inhabitants, so that makes life a bit crazy. Lots of things to do and places to visit, too, so it's got its pro-s and con-s.
I was born in London. Then adopted in Cali. I live in Stevenson Ranch with my new mum and dad. My house is about 20 minutes away from my sister and brother-in-laws house. They live in Valencia. They're talking about moving, to another country!

Tab, you're right. Me and Pierre are thinking about moving to another country. To turn over a new leaf! Pierre says we should move to Japan, but it's too :censored: different. So it's either gonna be Norway or somewhere in England. We still don't know yet?
