Ok so i know fan zines arent as popular as they were because the internet can update things alot faster but i would like to know whether or not people would still read fan fiction fanzines or zines dedicated to horror films of the past or just anything scary really??I would like to know peoples opinions would people be interested even if only a small number of them??on them as i would like to start one and obviously im not expecting a big reaction but people surely still read zines cos they are cool!! would really appreciate your views

I used to read Fangoria, but recently I'm more into publications like Weird Tales, which showcase stories instead of pictures and movies. :)

I got some good sized stacks of horror magazines, mostly Fangoria & Rue-Morgue
But now-a-days I go to the websites.

I have only a couple of horror fanzines in my collection, one with sort of generic vampires and the other based on The Lost Boys. I'd be interested in a zine if it was affordable, which tends to be a big problem that continues in creating fanzines. I've contributed art to many zines, including some fan novels; and, I've had one story published~actually an excerpt from a lengthier work I co-authored with one of my friends.

My post is waaaaay after your original one, so perhaps you've moved on. But, if you're still seeking feedback...

I very rarely resort to the Net for fan-written works, as I've been extremely disappointed in what I've encountered. I wonder why it's generally poorer than printed zines; so far, I've found few exceptions from this poor quality, especially when it comes to spelling and simple mechanics of writing. Maybe I've found sites that are not representative, but my faith remains with the printed work, not the electronic.

I used to read Fangoria all the time but the subscriptions got to be expensive. I would read all the horror zines if the price was not outrageous. The web is good for info but somehow it is just not the same.
