Horror icon Robert Englund was briefly hospitalized on Wednesday following a full night of shooting his latest project.
The 50 year old actor is currently filming 2001 MANIACS, Tim Sullivan's hotly anticipated remake/follow-up to Herschel Gordon Lewis' gorefest TWO-THOUSAND MANIACS from the 1960s. He had just finished a grueling night of shooting as Mayor Buford. Englund retired to his hotel and later awoke with "some pain."
He was admitted to St. Francis Hospital in Georgia. He was later released after some rest and unspecified medical treatment. The cause of the pain has not been disclosed. Fortunately, Englund seems to be out of the woods right now.
