[I 180w news-319 I]If the making of CURSED were a film in itself, no one would believe it.

Wes Craven must have pissed someone off in a former life or run over a gyspy woman, or something equally horrible. There is simply no explaination for the horrible time he has been having with CURSED.

We've been reporting on this one for so long, I can't even remember a time when the film wasn't in our lives. Craven's on-again off-again projects has gone through multiple drafts, crew changes and even went on an extended hiatus while the ending was retooled. We also mentioned that they were doing some changes which sounded awfully strange. Now, it's been confirmed.

CURSED is now finally set to resume shooting in November, but things seemed to have changed a bit. reports that between 80 and 90 percent of the footage already shot on CURSED is going to be thrown out! The script has been retooled, with most of Kevin Williamson's old draft hitting the fire as well.

Now Craven is forced to start almost from scratch, on a film he reportedly didn't want to do in the first place, which has turned into a headache that is starting all over again. They will not have enough budget to do anything spectacular ("not even enough money to buy craft services," the CC scooper says), so now Craven may be working under even more pressure than before.

I swear to God there was a TWILIGHT EPISODE like this.

One actor that was killed off in the script will be reportedly returning as a completely different character. To add to the troubles, Dimension is STILL in search of an ending that meets their satisfaction.

Good God, Wes. I feel so bad for you, buddy. You gave us LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT, THE HILLS HAVE EYES and NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET. Sure, there were a few projects that didn't work out. But you don't deserve this. Nobody does. After this is done, go back to basics. Do something small and personal that will resonate. You owe it to yourself.
