Okay, the weasely stuff is out of the way. Now, onto the story.
It has always surprised me that Jean Rollin has not caught on more than he has. His typical blend of seductive child-like vampire beauties in beautiful chateaus seems tailor-made for the goth crowd. But what gets all the glory? QUEEN OF THE DAMNED. It's a sick world.
In truth, I love Rollin's films. The best of them are tinged with a wonderful tragic beauty that just must be seen to be believed. Rollin was out of the spotlight for many years until his recent return to the form with TWO ORPHAN VAMPIRES and FIANCE OF DRACULA.
Now, Rollin needs your help in financing his next film, TRANSFIGURED NIGHT. And personally, I hope he gets enough help to get another beautiful project rolling. Those who donate $ 50 or more will recieve an autographed picture, a documentry on the making of TRANSFIGURED NIGHT and a personal copy of the VHS or DVD of TRANSFIGURED NIGHT after its completion.
