I have been told that in the U.K , 28 days later had a different ending than the one I saw here in the States. Is this true? Anyone?

Well, I don't know about the European theatrical release but I've got the Euro R2 PAL DVD and it contains TWO alternate endings for the movie. I'd hate to post the details on a public thread such as this in fear of spoiling the movie for someone who hasn't seen it yet.
If you really want to know, just send me a "private message" and let ya in on them.

The new US DVD Release has three alternate endings. One that was never filmed, but comes with storyboards. The US theatrical alternate ending is the best in my opinion and much better than the one used in the original US release. The other one is just a variation of the one they ended up using. Personally I like the one alternate ending and two very extreme deleted scenes involving hordes of the infected and wish they had gone with a much darker path in the final 20 minutes. Still a great movie regardless however.

So, how does the new R1 DVD stand up to the earlier R2 PAL DVD?
And what's the THIRD ending?

The third storyboard ending.
SPOILERS BELOW
It picks up partway through at the military post. The military is gone. Frank gets infected, but they dont' kill him. They tie him up and bring him with them to the house the military was staying in. Most of the rooms are empty, but one contains a person behind a locked door. The person won't come out, but does know the crue for the disease. Since it is in the blood you just need to get a blood transfusion.
They realized this ending wouldn't work too well. The fact that you'd have to have someone that matched your blood and they'd have to sacrifice their life for yours.
The continue on with it, and it ends up Jim has the same blood type. Jim agrees to do it and so frank is cured and now Jim has it. The person in the room lets everyone but Jim in. It ends with Jim on a table and bunch of tv's comming on showing the images from the beginning.

Hmmm, that alternate ending (told through voiced storyboards) is on the PAL DVD. What's the other two then?
