it had a Lion tamer

Hi! Saw a creepy old horror movie a long time ago late at night. It was in black and white and involved a family living in a haunted house. They had ghosts in the kitchen who would throw things. I remember the little boy went downstairs into the basement and saw a ghost lion. He was saved by the ghost of the Lion tamer who then demonstrated his head getting chewed off by the lion.

Anyone know what the name of it is?
