Holy guano Batman! You know it's getting close to the Halloween season when everyone kicks into gear and we are putting up guano-loads of reviews. This week we've got eight new movie reviews with Douglas Waltz taking ABSOLUTION from Sub Rosa and attending MIDNIGHT MASS from Lions Gate Studios. Meanwhile, our good old Reverend Spenser Hoyt cheers COME GET SOME from Fatal Sushi Films and Tim Tompkins loses his head over Troma's DECAMPITATED. Scott Davis takes a look at the newly revamped MANHUNTER from Anchor Bay Entertainment while Craig Hamann plays HBO Video's POOLHALL JUNKIES and builds an appetite for Sub Rosa's MEAT MARKET 2. And if that wasn't enough, Michael Mackie checks out the new Brimstone Produced anthology film MONSTERSDOTCOM. Also up this week in our magazine and book reviews, Spenser Hoyt tries to avoid some papercuts with a severe dose of reading as he looks at SEX AND GUTS Issue #4, the first four issues of Denmark's BATHOS and COME GET SOME Comic book. Also get your ears ready for some serious haunts as the Rev also gives a spin to THE GRIST MILL from AMFM Theater and STH Productions, a new radio program guaranteed to scare all of you who grew up listening to frightening stories on the radio with three new tales of terror! Adding to the Halloween spirit, the Rev manages to spin out three more soundtrack reviews for CABIN FEVER, RE-ANIMATOR and FROM BEYOND from La La Land Records! Lots of good stuff being released this week with Artisan's double feature discs, Rhino's ATTACK OF THE KILLER TOMATOES and Universal's re-releases of SERPENT AND THE RAINBOW and THEY LIVE. But, if we had to pick the release of the week, which we do, we pretty much have a tie with Anchor Bay's THE HILLS HAVE EYES and Columbia TriStar's IN COLD BLOOD!
