Before the new UNDERWORLD movie played, there was a niffty little teaser trailer for RESIDENT EVIL 2: APOCALYPSE. Does anyone have any info (official website, links, etc) on the movie. I believe the release date on the preview said it was still like six months away so I'm sure there's gotta be something out there on the net about it. I haven't seen anything about it myself. No pix, no full cast listing, no confirmed story or plot, nothing. And I'm usually pretty good with my "Web-Fu" too.

If you go to upcominghorrormovies.com there's pics and a full cast listing there. Also the official website is up and a link to it appears on the RE:2 section in UHM.com

The newest RESIDENT EVIL: APOCALYPSE photos featuring actress SIENNA GUILLORY from THE TIME MACHINE as uber-heroine JILL VALENTINE.

So, what do ya think? Does she fit the role as the legendary undead ass-kicker?!

A bonus picture of a zombie girl...

Actually Steve I think she does.

Thinking back that was one of the things that made the movie seem less like RESIDENT EVIL.
Milla was O.K. (and I know better than to make fun of her or the film with Scott around o:)) but I think this gal fits the bill.
She looks pretty too. :D
I think they're laying on the Lara Croft schtick a bit by the look of those pictures though.

When's this one due out?
In truth I didn't think RESIDENT EVIL was that bad of a film. It's been lambasted in some circles. I thought it started well, and the beginning really set the mood for the Umbrella Corp. But I wasn't all that impressed with the Zombies. The CGI creature though, GUH! I stand by the maxim "If you can't do GOOD CGI don't do ANY CGI!".
I think the hardest audience to please where those who grew up on RESIDENT EVIL the Game (of which I am one). Hell I was into the whole survival horror genre from the Grand-Daddy of them all, ALONE IN THE DARK. Yet one more computer game about to make the transfer to film.

Yup, I agree with ya there. The RE game series was, and still is, my favorite video game product made. And when I saw RE at the theatre, my first impression was...

"Hey, this ISN'T Resident Evil! What's up with this?! Man, this movie blows!"

But after getting the DVD and watching it a few more times, I can accept it for what it is, a decent Hollywood horror movie. Of course, I'm like SCOTT, certainly MILLA helps to make it a better film.

I thought it started well, and the beginning really set the mood for the Umbrella Corp.
Funny you should mention that. One thing I find interesting is that the opening (the virus being released and the mass deaths) and the ending (MILLA waking up and the ravaged city) seemed sooo good that it really felt like someone else (other than JOHN ANDERSON) had directed those segements. Then again, I dunno. I might just be crazy.

As for RE2, the projected release date is SEPTEMBER 2004 so it's still some time off. IMDB has it listed in "post production" and filming finished sometime in October.

I cant wait for this movie, all signs so far are that its going to be great. I loved the original, it was a great Hollywood action-horror. I grew up on the games aswell, theyre still some of my favourate games ever (hell, I even like the commercial... the Romero one :D ), and I didnt feel bad about this rendition. It certainly wasnt a dent in the RE name, though not exactly what I wanted from an RE movie, it still worked extremely well.

Never had the chance to play the game, but I truly loved the movie. So Mila is not in II at all? :(

No, to my knowledge (and according to the RE website), lovely MILLA JOVOVICH is still reprising her role as Alice in the upcoming sequel.

Well, yes. Much as I try to be professional and I think I'm very forward-thinking in my school of feminist thought, I really couldn't help it. I mean, it's a zombie video game movie and right there without warning... "Waitaminute, am I seeing THE FIFTH ELEMENT's Milla Jovovich's coochie? I AM! Well, hello there!!! "

I'm forward-thinking, but I'm not dead.

The MR. SKIN (http://www.mrskin.com/) website called it "MILLA's PELT SHOT".

Now that's pretty funny.
