Anyone picked up ROB ZOMBIE's soundtrack for HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES?
If you enjoyed the movie, then ya gotta have it.
The track listing:
1. Howdy Folks
2. House Of 1000 Corpses - Rob Zombie
3. Saddle Up The Mule
4. Everybody Scream - Rob Zombie
5. Stuck In The Mud
6. Holy Miss Moley
7. Who's Gonna Mow Your Grass - Buck Owens
8. Run Rabbit Run - Rob Zombie
9. Into The Pit
10. Something For You Men
11. I Wanna Be Loved By You - Helen Kane
12. Pussy Liquor - Rob Zombie
13. Scarecrow Attack
14. My Baby Boy
15. Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue - Ramones
16. Investigation And The Smokehouse
17. The Bigger The Cushion
18. I Remember You - Slim Whitman
19. Drive Out The Rabbit
20. Mary's Escape
21. Little Piggy - Rob Zombie
22. Ain't The Only Thing Tasty
23. Dr. Satan
24. Brickhouse 2003 - Rob Zombie
25. To The House
As you can see from the listing, the cd soundtrack is pretty thorough and I believe every bit of music from the movie made it on here. You get the various instrumental-only scores like the Scarecrow Attack, Into The Pit, and Mary's Escape which are all some of my favorites. You also get the extended versions of ROB ZOMBIE originals like Red Hot Pussy Liquor, the Doctor Wolfenstein theme song, and Brickhouse 2003. Of course, the oldies-but-goodies like HELEN KANE's I Wanna Be Loved By You and SLIM WHITMAN's I Remember You are also included. And last but not least, the entire soundtrack is filled with lots of dialogue lifted straight from the movie itself.
But the really niffty thing about the whole thing is the snazzy little book that comes inside. It's set up with about 22 pages that feature a police lineup of each of the characters as if they'd already been arrested for their deeds. All of their stats are listed such as age, height, weight, etc. And you get their "real" names along with their alias you're probably already familiar with. Examples include CAPTAIN SPAULDING as J.T. SPAULDING alias CAPTAIN RINGO CUTTER or OTIS as OTIS B. DRIFTWOOD alias MR. HAMMER alias J. CHEEVER alias QUINCY or BABY FIREFLY as VERA ELLEN alias BABY JANE alias BUNNY or TINY as OTTO FRIES alias BABY. Kinda neat, huh?
The rest of the booklet is like a newspaper where it has mock articles about the deaths of local policemen (WYDELL and NAISH) and a missing persons section asking for info about BILL, DENNIS, MARY, and JERRY.
All in all, not a bad deal for under fifteen bucks.
