I recently attended the Sarasota Will Scream Fest where the upcoming indie, Hallows Point, headlined. Shot in Florida, it is about a group of teenagers that dare themselves to spend the night in an abandoned high school. They commence their evening festivities with a seance, followed by a round of spirit summoning at a ouija board. To their dismay, they resurrect Nathanial Raber, their dead biology teacher who was also a serial killer. Fueled by a hunger for the occult, it appears the killings were all part of Rabers plan, and are not yet over. Overall, I was surprised at the quality of the movie, being that it was an indie. The feel of the movie is dark and spooky, and reminiscent of the great horror movies of the 80's. Loved the occult aspect, too. I invite you to check out their website www.hallowspoint.com
