Has anyone here read anything of her's?
I know it's more like porn, but there's just something about it that keeps me buying the next book out.

Just bought stroke of midnight 4th book of the Merry Gentry series. Same here I always buy more of it. But I do prefer the firsts few book of the Anita Blake series they were more into the horror/suspense/fantasy books than the erotica part of it.
If I may suggest an excellent series, try the "Blood" books by Tanya Huff, I really enjoyed them.

I'm completely with Black Widow.
As a guy I was only a little ashamed to get into the Anita Blake series. I started at Book One and dug it enough to work my way through all the way to, I think, Cerulean Sins. The first half dozen I thought varied from good to very good. Can't say I was all that on the whole love triangle, as I've got to say the whole Romance thing has to appeal more to women. But you know, I was fine with it.
Then the story started to go out of the window and it seemed nothing more than an excuse for the author to indulge in her sexual fantasies. I'm far from prudish but book porn isn't really my thing. Not even horror porn. I'm not really interested in what a threesome with a human, vampire and werewolf is like.
I personally think she's made a grave error. She's writing stories without stories. The flimsy plot seeming like nothing more than a setup for all involved to remove clothes.
What interested me in the beginning books where the characters of Blake, and Edward (JC I found a somewhat stereotypical hypnotic-eyes vamp). And the plots where pretty interesting. They kept me reading.
With all of that out of the window I've never picked up one of her books since (this is like 3 years or so) and I have no intention to ever again.
She should have started up her horror porn with another character and left Anita Blake as the character she was. Exploring how what she did come to harden and change her and how she became more and more detached (and Edward-like) from normal people the longer she did her job.
As it is I've seen LKH defend to the high hilt her shift to horror porn. And I just find it utterly irredeemable. Shame really.
