I'm going to have to go the weasely diplomatic route here, guys. I do not know how technically "legal" this is. And therefore, I cannot condone it or publicly give aid in any way. Hey, I love the site, I know I would like the disc and I'll report the news. But if it's a choice between downplaying Michael Myers and playing shower tag with a much of Aryans in San Quentin, then I'm afraid the man in the William Shatner mask will have to fend for himself.

That said, I can tell you that I have seen HALLOWEEN 6: THE PRODUCER'S CUT. And it is certainly far and away better than the horrid piece of crap Dimension released into theatres. These aren’t minor changes the studio made. In many ways, it’s a different film. Moreover, we have not heard any kind of support from the Dimension team in regards to a release of the famed PRODUCER'S CUT and they've stuck by their bare-bones theatrical version.

Now comes the ballsiest HALLOWEEN news in some time. The folks at are such big HALLOWEEN fans, that they have spent the better part of a year trying to restore the PRODUCER'S CUT. The VHS bootlegs out there were of a particularly poor quality. And now, they are releasing their own special edition DVD of HALLOWEEN 666: THE PRODUCER'S CUT... and it's available right now!

27 American dead presidents will buy you the disc and the folks who put it together claim they are not seeing one cent of profits from the venture - "I have nothing to do with the distribution process. I only created the DVD and take no part in reproducing or selling it"

The site gives great info on the restoration. The before-and-after screen comparisons are quite impressive and a lot of love obviously went into this. It even includes some special features including trailers and behind the scenes stuff.

I was hesitant to print this report and even slept on it for about 24 hours. But I decided since already been pretty public about it, they obviously want the word out. I certainly hope the greedheads don't give them too much grief. It really is fantastic news for fans and a valliant effort by these folks. Certainly much moreso than the so-called "public domain" films released on bargain DVD which are nothing more than unauthorized versions of films widely available on copyright (i.e. Brentwood DVD, etc.). While I frown upon bootlegging when it robs the artists, the fact is that this isn't seeing the light of day from anywhere else anytime soon.

Anyway, that's the news. What you do with it is up to you.
