Can anyone suggest any zombie books I might be interested in. I've read Wetwork and thought it was awesome! Thanks!

I don't know if you've read it Dave, but here's my pitch.
I Am Legend is NOT a book about Zombies, technically they're Vampires.
BUT this is the book that Romero made Night of the Living Dead from, essentially simplyfying the script so as to make the film as cheap as possible.
If you changed all references of vampires to zombies, and all references to them needing blood to them needing flesh, you really wouldn't know the difference. They're both dead and almost mindless.
It's 200 pages about the last man alive on earth where every other human inhabitant IS the walking dead.
It's more or less my most favourite novel, and for a short novel it's unbeatable.
Like I said it isn't EXACTLY Zombies but in all but name they are no different.
Check out my (still) half finished review HERE (http://www.horrorexpress.com/bookreview.php?id=3) for a taster of how much I LOVE this book.
I would recommend it to anyone who loves horror without hesitation...

from a film point of view:
THE ZOMBIES THAT ATE PITTSBURGH
ZOMBIE (DARKSIDE)
BEYOND TERROR. THE FILMS OF LUCIO FULCI
from a fiction point of view:
RETURN OF THE LIVING DEAD novel..serious where as the film was a black comedy.
ASSASSIN: Brit author Sean Hutson delivers the gory, trashy goods in a London Gangster/Zombie treat.

Check out "Feed." It's an interesting take on zombies...more of a political thriller against the back drop of a zombie infested world. Oh and World War Z is almost required reading for any zombie fan I think lol

World War Z sounds interesting, will check it out! Have you read the Skipp and Specter Book of the Dead short story collections?

Not yet but I will have to. Have you read a big thick book called Zombies: Encounters with the Hungry Dead? It's compiled by John Skip and has a ton of different zombie stories.

Alas, I haven't. I love John Skipp and Craid Spector though, think they're great writers. I've lost my copy of Book of the Dead so will have to search it out again! Have you read any of Skipp and Spector's novels?
David J Schow, who's in Book of the Dead, is a great horror writer too; I recommend his novels The Shaft and Kill Riff - two great books!:)

I'm just the same: a ton of books and movies to catch up on. It's been great hearing member's recommendations of this forum, filling in gaps in my education, so to speak:)

Is there any zombie novel that doesn't take place in a post-apocalyptic setting?

Feed doesn't technically. The zombies are a part of every day life really.
