An unnesscessary remake if there ever was one. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a god damned masterpiece. This strikes me as being as dumb as Van Sant's remake of PSYCHO.

I'm not against all remakes; hell, WILLARD was awesome. But this trend reflects an attitude of cowardice in Hollywood. The remakes are a way to hedge their bets; they figure these have a built in audience so they crank these out instead of original material. Sad really.

Tired of these shit remakes? Don't go see them or buy the dvds. Once this crap stops making money they'll get back to making original films.....well we can only hope.

There is no way in hell a remake of tcm can even come close to the original. What is wrong with people today! If it ain't broke-don't fix it! It is definaltey a step in the wrong direction! If you want to make a horror movie-then make one-don't rip off an old horror classic! The thought of a remake is pathetic! The original is the shit and shouldn't be messed with-period!

:o TCM remake...what can one say about this awful event? It is totally pitiful that they even attempted to remake this movie. After watching the trailer..I can't believe that this will be another "hip cast" movie. It is truly sad that Hollywood is so :censored: greedy. What's next a remake of Halloween?

The first time I saw the trailer for the TCM remake was before FREDDY VS. JASON. I was happy that they used "Song of the Siren" to start out the trailer (maybe even the This Mortal Coil version) and my heart soared when the screen bleeds out into white with that terrifying "Wheeeeee..." noise that always gave me chills at the beginning of the original.

That said, the cast and many of the shots just look too... pretty! And I fear they will die pretty too, which is hardly the point, is it?

It'll be interesting to see if this new Hollywood TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE remake can stand up to ROB ZOMBIE's HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES, which is essentially his version (or vision) of the TCM series, ya know.
