Witch movie help

I've got very little details on this so I apologize.

I saw a movie about witches when I was very young. I remember seeing it at a drive in (that long ago ;) ) with my sister. It was set in the old times, possibley Salem witch trial days. I remember torturing of witches, one scene they were sliding a 'hot shoe' onto a person, as it was either a red hot metal 'shoe' or had hot coals in it.

In one scene there was a mangled, deformed man helping one of the witches to escape as he said the line "now you've promised to make love to me right?" I remeber this line because as a young boy, I couldn't understand how you MAKE love :lmao:

I would have seen this movie in the early to mid 70's, possibley 74 or 75.

I'm sorry Guff, I have no idea on this one. Any Witch movies of my recall are either later or earlier than this, and I don't recognise the scene at all.

Well, I know that scene. I definately have seen what you've described, and Witchfinder General makes sense. I hope that's it!

There's also Mark of the Devil 2 but has not been released on DVD yet. It's a direct sequel with Reggie Nalder again but without Udo Kier. I have an old VHS but I can't watch it anymore because I don't have my player anymore....
