I admit I might be a bit hard on poor Christian Slater. After all, he has made a number of great films and he's done his best to distance himself from his former teen heartthrob days. It's just that it's impossible for me to pass up a joke about GLEAMING THE CUBE and.or KUFFS. Forgive me, I'm a weak man.
Now, Slater is - er, slated to appear in his first horror film since INTERVIEW WITH THE VAMPIRE, a role he inherited from the deceased River Phoenix (he reportedly gave his entire acting fee to Phoenix's favorite charities - pretty big of him).
Uwe Boll's HOUSE OF THE DEAD must be something. Not only is his ALONE IN THE DARK adaptation already ready to shoot, it's got Slater locked in as star as Edward Carnby. Not a bad score for a zombie film based on a video game.
Lion's Gate is so revved for it, they've already opened it's .
