I admit I had barely heard of when I read this news item. Oh sure, I knew about the release of Steve Biro's line and a couple of their major releases, but for some reason that I can't explain, they have always slipped under my radar (And why didn't anyone tell me UNDERGRADS was getting a release?).

Well, if you head over to , not only will you see some interesting cult cinema, you will also see what they have in the offimg. And that is a selection of horror classics from Glenn Danzig himself.

"Basically, these are Glenn?s favorite horror movies, so we're releasing them on disc though Eclectic," Eclectic's Clint Walker says in a recent article. The titles, which blend well in their mixture of classic/subversive/satire/pseudo-porn catalog includes, THE NIGHT EVELYN CAME OUT OF THE GRAVE (already available in some awful public domain prints), THE EERIE MIDNIGHT HORROR SHOW (a.k.a. THE SEXORCIST), THE SNAKE PEOPLE starring Boris Karloff and THE VAMPIRE'S NIGHT ORGY from underrated horror director Leon Klimovsky, who made some of Paul Naschy's greatest films.

The films won't have any extras, but they will retail for a very affordable $14.95 in the U.S. All four discs are scheduled to be released on September 23rd.

Hmm....sounds like mostly Public Domain titles. So are these really Danzig's "favaorite" horror movies? If so he's got even less taste than I thought. Sounds more like a lame ass plan to cash in on his ever-dwindling celeberty status.

Phffft--taw. <_<

Has anyone ever seen any of these before?

Too bad he doesn't release the old 70's DEVILMAN Japanese anime television series instead. I know he likes the show, he's got a huge DEVILMAN kanji tattoo on his back and his comic company VEROTIK put out a few DEVILMAN comic books years ago.
