Can you tell me the name of this movie?

The genre is horror and it was made in the 60s or 70s. I can remember it was a ghost story and in one scene a woman is sleeping in rowboat on a small pond and she wakes up (or is still dreaming) and the high muddy banks of the pond come alive with faces of screaming people. I'm sorry, that is all I can remember. It scared me so bad though when I was young and I would like to see if I can find it again.

I remember something like that but It was in a short story of Creepshow 2 in 1987. A blob was eating the poor swimmers... Maybe it's not related at all but anyway looks a lot like a scene of the short story

No it wasn't Creepshow 2. I have that movie on DVD. This was most likely a 70s film because of my approximate age. I think it had Ghosts in it too.
