Media Blasters has had some good Lucio Fulci films coming. But how do we put this? Their current output of HOUSE OF CLOCKS, SWEET HOUSE OF HORRORS and ZOMBIE 3 don't make up the best of the Fulci canon. Well, wait no more, MB's has announced the addition of two more DVDs, long in the planning.

LIZARD IN A WOMAN'S SKIN, the early Fulci giallo that came after the underexposed ONE ON TOP OF THE OTHER but before the classic DON'T TORTURE A DUCKLING, will be released to Region 1 on June 24. This marks the first time the disc has been available in the United States.

The two disc set includes a documentry which includes interviews with the stars as well as the special effects creators. One of the sequences in LIZARD was so real, Carlo Rambaldi had to accompany Fulci in a courtroom to prove the scenes involving violence about dogs were in fact staged. The disc will also include stills, a collector's booklet, trailers and according to , separate interviews.

Shriek Show is also releasing their long-anticipated uncut ZOMBIE (a.k.a. ) DVD. Anchor Bay has already released their own disc twice. But some purists complained about the image and sound quality. This new release will be two discs again, and will likely go under it's initial Italian title, ZOMBI 2. It will be available in regular and two disc special editions. ZOMBI 2 will be available on August 26, but the big news is Media Blasters will have a limited theatrical re-release before it comes home. It's interesting that is also releasing KILLING BIRDS on the same day as LIZARD, under the title ZOMBIE 5.

My shoddy arse coding skills exposed yet again.

That ain't Scott's news, it's the code that posts to the forums. Which is why I always believe people should read the news and reviews from the main page instead of the forum :pinch:

Personally, I thought the ANCHOR BAY DVD release was tip top. It had NEVER looked (and sounded in DD 5.1) so good, in my opinion. Up until then, I owned the big box VHS version and let me tell ya, it looked bad even for being an original tape. And the DVD contained some nice extras that I had never seen before. I especially enjoyed the radio ads.

"You're in a room with your friends. And they're ALL dead... ZOMBIE!"

But I'll be buying the new SHRIEK SHOW release just because it's anamorphic widescreen (for my television) where as the older ANCHOR BAY version was standard widescreen.
