Black Style for forums created. You should be able to select it from the style chooser at the bottom left of each page, choosing "Black" funnily enough.
For a first attempt I think it's reasonable. If you have any suggestions for it let me have it. And let me know if there's any bugs.
Cheers

It's pretty cool, I kind of liked the fact that horror express was diffrent from other horror forums with its white look, but this is a cool theme.

Besides the white style is still there (as Default in the bottom left dropdown box). It's what I'm using atm, because I just find it looks more functional and is easier to follow. The problem with black is as soon as it's the predominant colour it drowns everything else out.
I'm going to keep, and continue to work on, both. That way people have the choice.

Yeah I hate that my forums are black, but like you I assume that people into cult movies like it, I did change the main site at ISOYM (http://www.ispitonyourmovie.com/) though so at least the main body of the text is on a light background as I hate reading large amounts of text on black.
Next time I change the look I will go for a near white look though I think ...

Your site looks fine enough FC, it always has. I think with us wanting to ditch/relegate the black it becomes a case of "you can take a horse to water but you cannot make it drink" with your visitors.
I guess anyone who puts any amount of time into design, or maybe even just a hell of a lot of time in thinking how the site looks, realises that black is so limiting. There's just so little you can do with it. It's black, and one strong bright colour. Beyond that you're done. No gradiants, drop shadows, complementary colours, nothing really.
That's the whole deal why, even on the main site, I had a few different choices. But it just became a pain to keep up with when I wanted to modify anything. Hell, it's a tough job, huh? :)
