[I 180w carno_splash I]What did I say? What did I tell you? Months ago, I forcasted that 2003 would be the . More and more films, inspired by our zombie classics seem to come by every couple weeks.

Now comes the most unlikely one of the bunch. Hype Williams, known as the man to go to if you have a big budget hip-hop video, is helming a zombie film... in 3-D! THRILLA will involve a group of young people fighting the undead in Jamaica. Williams is known for adding a lot of style to everything, as can be seen in his first film, BELLY. People have a mixed opinion on Williams so I'll just reserve judgement. Like it or not, this will certainly be an interesting project.

3-D is making a comeback with James Cameron's GHOSTS OF THE ABYSS and SPY KIDS 3-D leading the way. THRILLA will be filmed using 100% digital 3-D effects.

In other zombie news, Horror Express has been slow to report much on the comic book front. However, a new anthology called CARNOPOLIS is starting to peak my interest. There is some great artwork at the . The stories involve everything from a serial about sexy female agents battling Nazi zombies to a goth chick awakening a graveyard full of zombies (Linnea Quigley anyone?) only to have to talk her way out of the mess. The comic also features art layouts and toxic comics.

Keep in mind that the artwork is for the mature (some even moreso than this pic) and the book is recommended for people 18 and older.
